The fair, themed “Riyadh Reads,” featured over 200 events catering to diverse audiences, spanning 800 pavilions. Notable thinkers, writers, and cultural figures from both inside and outside Saudi Arabia graced the fair, contributing to its unique atmosphere.
“The exhibition provided visitors access to creative works from across the Arab world and beyond, offering important insights into literature, thought, and knowledge,” he said. Alwan also noted how the fair boosted the local publishing market and enhanced the global competitiveness of Saudi publishers.
This year’s guest of honor, Qatar, featured a special pavilion displaying rare manuscripts and publications from the Qatari Ministry of Culture, offering a glimpse into its rich cultural and intellectual heritage. The Riyadh Book Fair continues to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading cultural hub in the Arab world.
