Commercial flights between Saudi Arabia and Syria resumed this week after a 12-year hiatus!

The inaugural Syrian Airlines flight from Damascus landed in Riyadh with 170 passengers on board, symbolizing a fresh start in bilateral ties.

The flights will resume with one weekly round-trip between the two cities

Ayman Soussan, Syria’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, highlighted that the agreement includes one weekly round-trip flight connecting the capitals of Damascus and Riyadh. This move underscores the growing normalization between the two nations.
