and its happening right here in Riyadh

The first-ever International Conference on Sand and Dust Storms is coming our way, and its happening right here in Riyadh from March 4-6

Hosted by Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology, it’s a global showdown against these sandy disruptions, and it’s not just scientists – over 200 researchers, experts, and specialists worldwide are rolling up their sleeves to tackle this cause.

They’ll be tackling all things sand and dust storms

This conference is where the best minds will meet to tackle the nitty-gritty of dust and sand storms. There will be discussions on dust aerosols, health impacts, and even economic consequences. We’re not just dealing with weather small talk; we’re talking about storms that mess with your breathing, solar energy plans, and even disrupt the balance of nature.

The issue is greater than just sand in your shoes

Why the urgency? These storms aren’t just sand in your shoes; they’re a big deal for the environment, public health, and economies. They can mess with your lungs, play with weather patterns, and create chaos. It’s time to figure out how to reduce the impact of these storms.

A united front to come up with solutions

This global meetup will be where scientists, policymakers, and stakeholders worldwide exchange ideas and work on solutions together. Dust storms might be a global challenge, but it’s going to take a united effort to tackle them.

Saudi’s taking action!

Saudi Green Initiative to the Middle East Green Initiative

Saudi Arabia isn’t just hosting; it’s also taking big steps to combat climate change and sand and dust storms. From the Saudi Green Initiative to the Middle East Green Initiative, they’re all about planting trees, reducing carbon, and making the planet a better place. So, while we talk about dust storms, Saudi Arabia is out there planting trees, aiming for 50 billion by 2030. That’s not just talk; that’s action.

Leading by example, Saudi’s taking the necessary steps to craft a future where sandstorms are no longer a threat!
