Ronaldo Says That The Saudi Pro League Is Better Than The MLS Where Messi Is Currently Playing

With so many football elites making their way to Saudi, it was expected that Lionel Messi too would follow suit. However, after months of rumours, Lionel Messi finally chose to move to the MLS to play for Inter Miami.

Cristiano Ronaldo dropped a bombshell while speaking to the press following Al Nassr’s pre-season friendly against Celta Vigo. “The Saudi league is better than MLS,” said Ronaldo, just a day after Messi officially completed his move to Inter Miami.

He went on to add, “Now all the players are coming here… In one year, more top players will come to Saudi Arabia.”

Just in terms of star power, the Saudi Pro League sure has made a name for itself in the world of football, with the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, and Roberto Firmino, among many others, signing up for the league. No wonder the league is being broadcast in virtually every country on the planet now.

Remember those rumours being shared by some tabloids about Ronaldo wanting to return? Well, those can be put to rest as well, as he’s clearly done with Europe.

He said, “I’m 100% sure I won’t return to any European club. I’m 38, and European football has lost its mojo. The only league still rocking it is the Premier League; the others need to step up their game!”
