Saudi Adventurer Completes His Historic 600km Solo Trek Across The Empty Quarter!
In an extraordinary display of resilience and determination, Saudi adventurer and entrepreneur Badr Al-Shaibani has successfully completed a historic 600km solo trek across the Empty Quarter, the largest continuous sand desert in the world
Starting his journey on December 15 from Umm Hadid, a famous meteorite impact site, Al-Shaibani walked for over 14 days before reaching his final destination at the stunning Umm Al-Hayesh Lake on December 29.
Reflecting on his accomplishment, Al-Shaibani shared, “Crossing the Empty Quarter on foot is one of the most thrilling adventures I have ever done. I hope this journey inspires young Saudis to explore our country’s natural beauty and see its potential as a global tourist destination.”
His route took him through some of the most challenging terrains, including Tawil Al-Khatam, Umm Al-Qurun, and Bayd Al-Laha, pushing him to cover an average of 40 km per day across towering dunes and salt flats
Extreme weather conditions, including powerful sandstorms and scorching heat, tested his endurance, but Al-Shaibani remained steadfast.
