Saudi Ambassador Promises Hajj Invitation For Pakistan Cricket Team After T20 World Cup Win

On Sunday, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki announced a royal treat for the Pakistan cricket team if they secured the T20 World Cup Win this year.

The Ambassador promised an exclusive Hajj 2025 trip for the entire team if they bring home the cup!

As reported by Arab News Pakistan, the Saudi Ambassador is rooting for the greens to bring home the win, and will reward them with a trip for Hajj next season! The World Cup, running from June 2-29, is being co-hosted by the USA and the West Indies and features a total of 20 teams.

Pakistan’s team touched down in Dallas this Saturday for the upcoming matches

This year’s team for the World Cup include Captain Babar Azam, Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Usman Khan.

Pakistan and Saudi actually share a love for cricket

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have been getting closer in the cricket world as the sport’s popularity grows in the Kingdom. The PCB announced in January 2023 that it’s ready to share its sports expertise with Saudi Arabia, which joined the International Cricket Council as an affiliate member in 2003 and was promoted to associate membership in 2016.
