Saudi Arabia Agrees To Reopen Border Crossings With Sudan To Ease Aid Flow

On Thursday, Saudi Arabia welcomed the Sudanese sovereign council’s decision to open the Adre border crossing with Chad for three months, allowing aid to reach areas in the Darfur region.

The Kingdom’s foreign ministry emphasized the positive impact of this move on addressing humanitarian needs, ensuring the safe delivery of aid, and protecting humanitarian workers

According to the ministry, Saudi Arabia’s delegation at the Geneva talks aimed at ending the violence held discussions with the UN Secretary-General’s envoy and African Union representatives to coordinate the provision of emergency aid.
