Avatar

The boxing world got a SURPRISE announcement that they’ve been waiting for all along. Saudi Arabia managed to pull off the unthinkable, and Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will be fighting for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world. And, guess what? It’s happening right here in Riyadh as part of the Riyadh Season.

So yes, the world might finally get a unified champion for the first time since 1999.

Turlki Al-sheikh Took to X to drop the deets:

The fight will be taking place in the Kingdom Arena!

While the exact date is still up in the air, it’s rumoured to happen on either December 23 or sometime in January. What makes the fight even more special is that both Fury and Usyk have never lost a fight. Fury boasts an unblemished record of 34 wins, while Usyk has triumphed in all 21 of his professional bouts.

Fury does have a fight already scheduled against former MMA champ Francis Ngannou for October 28 that will mark the opening of Riyadh Season.
