Since “Tawteen” started, about 4 billion riyals have been spent, creating around 14,000 new jobs for Saudis. This brings the total to 172,000 jobs since the program began. Plus, they’ve trained about 10,000 people, with plans to boost that number to 20,000 with specialized training.
The program is making a real difference by helping Saudis find jobs and gain new skills. In the first half of 2024 alone, over 38,000 Saudis were hired through “Tawteen,” beating both the annual and overall goals. So far training more than 30,000 people in various fields to strengthen the local workforce.
The Ministry has been busy creating jobs through smart oversight of local businesses. In the first half of 2024, this led to around 9,712 new job openings in areas like dentistry, pharmacy, health professions, engineering, and more.
The goal of all this effort is to cut down unemployment, get more Saudis into the workforce, and make sure that local businesses are thriving.
