Saudi Calls On All Muslims To Spot Ramadan Crescent On Friday Evening
Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court is calling on all Muslims to keep their eyes on the horizon this Friday evening (Sha’ban 29, 1446 AH / February 28, 2025) to look out for the Ramadan crescent moon!
If you spot the crescent—whether with the naked eye or binoculars—you’re encouraged to report it to the nearest court or town center to help confirm the sighting
The court also urged moon-sighting enthusiasts and regional committees to take part in this special tradition, a moment that unites Muslims worldwide in anticipation of Ramadan. The Holy month has so far been predicted to begin on March 1, 2025 but will only be confirmed once the crescent is sighted. The Moon-sighting committee will be meeting tomorrow night in the Kingdom to spot the Ramadan crescent a little after sunset.
