Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan phoned Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani to offer condolences on the recent helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and their delegation. Prince Faisal expressed solidarity with Iran during this difficult time.

The Iranian President unfortunately died in a helicopter crash along with seven other officials

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and the foreign minister were discovered dead on Monday following a helicopter crash in foggy conditions. After the crash, Iran appointed Ali Bagheri Kani as the Foreign Minister and Mohammad Mokhber, who was previously VP, as President of Iran.
