Saudi Foreign Minister: No Normalizing Ties With Israel Without Recognition Of Palestinian State

Saudi’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan was recently interviewed by CNN journalist, Fareed Zakaria. In the interview, Prince Fiasal was seen talking about a variety of issues regarding Palestine, Yemen, Israel, and the future goals of Saudi Arabia.

The Foreign Minister stated that establishing ties with Israel hinges on resolving the Palestinian issue


Prince Faisal expressed the readiness of both Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries to engage in discussions, while highlighting the importance of Israel’s decision to participate in recognizing Palestine as an individual state. Additionally, the foreign minister addressed concerns about civilian deaths, condemning Israel’s actions in Gaza and calling for an end to the unnecessary and unacceptable violence. The remarks were part of an interview conducted during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

He also talked about the recent Houthi attacks in the Red Sea

Prince Faisal emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to freedom of navigation, but also stressed the need to de-escalate tensions for regional security.
