From Sunday, June 30, to Friday, July 5, 2024, the Eastern Region and parts of Riyadh can expect scorching weather, with maximum temperatures ranging from 46-49 degrees Celsius. Makkah and Al-Madinah will also face the heat, with temperatures forecasted between 42-45 degrees Celsius.
On Saturday, the center reported that Al-Ahsa and Sharurah recorded the highest temperatures, peaking at a blistering 47 degrees Celsius, while Dammam wasn’t far behind at 46 degrees Celsius. Al-Madinah, Mina, and Wadi Al-Dawasir also sweltered in the heat, reaching 45 degrees Celsius.
As the heat wave continues, residents are advised to take necessary precautions. Avoiding outdoor activities during peak hours, wearing lightweight clothing, and drinking plenty of water can help manage the intense heat.
