Saudi Just Broke The World Record For The Highest Hanging Prayer Room

The Kingdom just set a new world record for the opening of the highest hanging prayer room! The Guinness World Record recognized this amazing accomplishment by the Kingdom. The prayer room is situated in a hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The room is located around 483 meters above sea level at the Adress Jabal Omar


It is actually located in the area connecting the two towers of the hotel, and gives the most gorgeous views of the Makkah Grand Mosque. Visitors can also see other historical and religious landmarks around the city, from this gorgeous room. The room itself features a bunch of gorgeous modern Arabesque art, geographical designs, and calligraphy.

The room itself can accommodate around 520 worshippers

The bridge holding the prayer room contains a  the 650-tonne steel bridge, which links the  linking the hotel’s twin towers across floors 36, 37, and 38. Best part is, if you visit the room during Fajr (dawn) prayers, you can witness the sunrise over the Grand Mosque!
