Saudi Just Took A Major Leap Forward For A Sustainable Future

Avatar

Another amazing achievement that takes us a step closer in the route to reach Saudi’s 2030 vision, King Salman Energy Park known as SPARK (and it is indeed a spark of HOPE for a more sustainable future), has been accredited with a new Silver Level accreditation for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), to become the first industrial city in the world to get this certification!

Green and sustainable communities are the future!

LEED program is known globally as one of the most important green building certification systems. Having its accreditation ensures that buildings are sustainable and meet many other high quality environmental factors that the world NEEDS, such as energy saving, water efficiency and good air quality.

SPARK certification proves that phase one meets certain levels of their standards, making it an OUTSTANDING project for future investors!

SPARK achieves exceptional integrated sustainability practices

SPARK is an important factor in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030

In a statement put by Eng. Saif Al Qahtani, President and CEO of SPARK, he said:

SPARK is distinguishing itself as a leading global energy, industrial, and technology hub, cementing Saudi Arabia’s positioning in the international markets as a progressive innovator in these fields. The certification reaffirms our commitment to reducing the city’s carbon footprint. LEED communities are in high global demand as they offer better rates of profitability, productivity and quality of workplace. Our goal is to create an ecosystem for energy related companies to grow with minimum environmental impact, and we encourage other industrial cities to follow our path
