Al‑Sharari, who was driving directly behind the bus, witnessed the crash and immediately stopped his vehicle and rushed toward the burning bus without hesitation.

Despite the intense heat and smoke, he broke the rear window of the bus and began pulling the teachers out one by one. Initially relying on his own strength and faith, he was soon joined by another driver and several young men who had arrived at the scene. Together, they worked in a race against time to get the trapped teachers to safety.

One of the teachers was reported to be in extreme panic inside the bus, repeatedly pleading, “Please, don’t let the fire consume me.”

Al‑Sharari said he tried to calm her as he helped her and others out of the vehicle.

His swift action was critical. Moments after the final teacher was rescued, the bus was fully engulfed in flames and on the verge of exploding, underscoring how close the situation had been to a tragic outcome.

All six teachers and the original bus driver survived and were taken to Abu Ajram Hospital for medical care, where their conditions were reported as stable

The brave act quickly gained attention on social media, with photos and videos of the rescue circulating widely. Many people praised Al‑Sharari for his selfless bravery and quick thinking. In widely shared clips, he downplayed his actions, stating: “Thank God for everyone’s safety… what happened is not heroism, but a blessing from God.”

Al‑Sharari’s courage in the face of danger has been celebrated throughout the Kingdom and beyond, highlighting the impact one person’s decisive actions can have in the most critical moments.
