This strong ranking underscores the Kingdom’s efforts to promote children’s rights, aligning with the global commitment to the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Iain Drennan, executive director of WeProtect Global Alliance, praised the Gulf region’s achievements in safeguarding children. He emphasized the importance of ensuring children’s rights, particularly in light of global challenges like child abuse and online exploitation. Drennan noted Saudi Arabia’s proactive role in protecting children, especially through legal frameworks that aim to create a safer environment both online and offline.
The percentage of citizens who believe children have ample learning opportunities has grown by 23 points in the past decade, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.
