The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) is gearing up for this year’s Hajj by equipping ambulances with over 10,000 medical kits.

This initiative is a crucial part of ensuring the safety and well-being of the millions of pilgrims expected to participate in the annual pilgrimage.
Essential medical items included at various supply points

Each of these kits from the SRCA’s Medical Supply Unit includes more than 10 million medical consumables. These essential items are used by doctors, nurses, and emergency medical personnel to treat patients efficiently. The SRCA has also confirmed a reserve of approximately 5 million medical items at various supply points, ready to be deployed as needed to meet any emergent demand.
The medical kits are designed to handle both emergency and critical cases

These medical kits are designed to handle 20-30 standard emergency cases and 15-20 acute and critical cases each. Besides these, every ambulance will be equipped with fundamental materials such as shock devices, oxygen cylinders, vital-sign monitoring devices, suction devices, liquids, and limb immobilization devices. This comprehensive preparation underscores the SRCA’s commitment to providing high-quality medical care during the Hajj season.
The SRCA have also deployed 2,540 medical professionals!

In addition to the medical supplies, the SRCA will deploy 2,540 medical professionals, ambulance technicians, and administrative staff across nearly 100 ambulance centers in anticipation of Hajj 2024.
This extensive network of trained personnel and well-equipped ambulances aims to ensure that all pilgrims receive prompt and effective medical attention, reflecting the SRCA’s dedication to safeguarding the health and safety of all participants during this significant religious event.
