An extraordinary act of heroism unfolded at the Grand Mosque in Makkah when the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) saved the life of an Egyptian pilgrim who suffered cardiac arrest during Umrah rituals

The incident occurred near the Hateem area, also known as Hijr Ismail, where the pilgrim, a woman in her sixties, fainted while circumambulating the Kaaba.

The SRCA ambulance team responded immediately, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with approved protocols

Their efforts successfully restored the woman’s pulse, stabilizing her condition before she was transported to Ajyad Emergency Hospital for further treatment.
