Saudi Team Secures Top Spot Among Arab Nations At World Robot Olympiad

Saudi Arabia’s young innovators Al-Jawhara Al-Qahtani and Aseel Al-Jasser made waves at the World Robot Olympiad in Izmir, Turkiye, securing the top Arab spot and an impressive ninth place globally in the Future Engineers category

Their success marks a milestone in the Kingdom’s growing prominence in technology and innovation.

The event, held from Nov. 26 to 30, welcomed participants from over 90 countries, celebrating creativity and problem-solving in robotics and artificial intelligence. Representing Saudi Arabia, 30 students across 15 teams, along with dedicated advisors and trainers, showcased their talents in categories such as Robo Missions, Robo Sports, Innovators of the Future, and Future Engineers.

Al-Qahtani and Al-Jasser’s achievement stemmed from rigorous training at Tuwaiq Academy, where they honed skills in AI, machine learning, 3D printing, and radar-based sensors

The Saudi Ministry of Education, the Saudi Federation for Robotics & RC Sports, and Tatweer Education Holding Co. collaborated to prepare students for the Olympiad.
