Cloud seeding is an artificial method used to increase rainfall from the clouds in the skies. This method was previously used by the United Arab Emirates and was proved to be a success. The first official phase was launched ths Tuesday, and everyone’s excited.
As the end of #Ramadan approaches – #Eid is expected on Sunday 1/5 or Monday2/5 – storm clouds have gathered over the holy places in Saudi Arabia – with widespread rain over much of the Arabian Peninsula every day.

Officals have also confirmed that the whole implementation will be environmentally friendly with specific observations and insight on the best places for cloud formation to avoid causing any harm to the atmosphere. So how does it work? Well the process consists of aircrafts adding small particles of silver iodide to the clouds, causing water droplets to cluster on the particles, therefore increasing chances of rain. Sounds amazing right?
