Hera Shabbir

You can now take a breather from the harsh sun and get ready for more rainy days thanks to Saudi’s coolest Cloud-Seeding project

Cloud seeding is an artificial method used to increase rainfall from the clouds in the skies. This method was previously used by the United Arab Emirates and was proved to be a success. The first official phase was launched ths Tuesday, and everyone’s excited.

This project was set in place to increase rainfall in the Kingdom, which is currently known to be one of the driest countries in the world

Officals have also confirmed that the whole implementation will be environmentally friendly with specific observations and insight on the best places for cloud formation to avoid causing any harm to the atmosphere. So how does it work? Well the process consists of aircrafts adding small particles of silver iodide to the clouds, causing water droplets to cluster on the particles, therefore increasing chances of rain. Sounds amazing right?
