Search For Missing Child Intensifies In Haldizan River As Saudi Authorities Issue Official Statement

The Saudi Embassy in Ankara has released an official statement addressing widespread media reports and online speculation regarding the heartbreaking incident of a Saudi child who went missing after falling into the Haldizen River near the Turkish town of Uzungöl.

The statement aims to clarify details surrounding the disappearance of 9-year-old Faisal, who was swept away by the river in the Çaykara district of Trabzon province

“From the very first moment of the incident, the Embassy—working closely with the child’s family—has been in constant communication with the relevant Turkish authorities to coordinate the search efforts,” the statement read.
“The Turkish authorities have responded swiftly and are carrying out intensive search operations in the area and its surroundings. We pray to God Almighty to guide these efforts to success and protect everyone from all harm.”

The embassy emphasized the importance of relying on verified information and urged the public to avoid spreading unconfirmed or inaccurate reports, particularly as the search remains ongoing.

The Governor of Trabzon has also been personally involved in overseeing the search and rescue operations, reflecting the seriousness with which local officials are treating the case

Turkish emergency teams, including rescue divers and specialized search units, have been deployed to comb the river and its banks.
