Severe Floods Engulf Streets Of Madinah After Heavy Rainfall

Madinah experienced heavy downpours over the recent days, triggering widespread flooding across the city. The Civil Defense issued urgent warnings, urging residents to stay indoors and exercise extreme caution on flooded streets.

People were seen praying under the cool raindrops, and running around the courtyard of the Holy Mosque!

On the other hand, a lot of streets got flooded with torrents of rainwater

Residents were seen struggling during their commute, with miles of rainwater pooling up the roads all over the city. The Civil Defense also warned the public to remain cautious outdoors, and immediately got to work to prevent further flooding on the streets.

Saudi’s Civil Defense actually deployed around 146 pieces of equipment for flood management

Many schools in the region also closed down due to the severe flooding around the city, and have resorted to remote-learning.
