Severe Storms Hit Jeddah And Makkah Causing Widespread Flooding And Damage

It’s been a wet few days in Jeddah and Makkah as torrential rains came pouring down, causing some major chaos. Streets have turned into rivers, with water levels rising so high that many cars have completely disappeared underwater.

Jeddah turned into a mini-river after hours of rainfall


Strong gusts of winds have also been tossing debris around making it dangerous to step outside.

A local gas station in Jeddah also got struck by lightning, leaving behind some serious damage

Areas in Makkah have also witnessed torrential rainfall

The Makkah region got hit with some serious rainfall, turning the mountains and valleys into rushing torrents!  With all that water gushing through, authorities have stepped in to ban outdoor travel and commuting for everyone’s safety. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely a stay-at-home kind of day.

Authorities haven’t taken this lightly, and a red alert has been issued, urging everyone to stay indoors where it’s safer
