Saudi Arabia is really getting into sports. First, they invested heavily in football and golf, and now they’ve set their sights on tennis. It’s all part of their big push into the global sports scene.

So this past week, the tennis world was abuzz after ATP chair Andrea Gaudenzi confirmed “positive” discussions had taken place with Saudi Arabia’s PIF.

Tennis ace Nick Kyrgios is totally on board with Saudi Arabia’s interest in tennis and their possible investment in the sport. Nick tweeted, “Finally. They see the value.” And he even added some money bag emojis. He’s like, “Sign me up, let’s get paid what we deserve!”

Kyrgios’s career earnings stand currently at a little over US$12 million, as per the ATP’s website.

Previously, world men’s No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz confidently stated that he’ll definitely be playing in Saudi Arabia at some point.

When it comes to tennis in Saudi, the country’s sporting authority has already struck a deal to move the Next Gen tournament, which showcases the top eight men’s players aged 21 and under, from Milan to Saudi Arabia for the next five years.

So, yeah, some exciting stuff is happening in the tennis world. Let’s see how it all plays out!
