The Grand Mosque Has Totally Prepped Up For Visitors During Ramadan

Hera Shabbir

With one of the most important months in Islam starting last week, the Makkah Grand Mosque made quite the arrangements to welcome all incomers. The mosque tends to get extra crowded during the holy month of Ramadan, as worshippers come from all over the world to spent it at one of Islam’s most sacred sites. The inflow of visitors means a lot of overcrowding and supplies, which the mosque has already prepped for 👍

The Grand Mosque recently opened up an extension for extra prayer space

This new extension can actually house around 120 new praying spaces! The mosque also has around 22,000 carpets all around to make sure all visitors are sitting and praying comfortably around the mosque.

The mosque has also placed around twelve THOUSAND Zamzam water containers

Zamzam water is also important for all visitors as they travel all this way to have a taste of Islam’s holy water, and replenish after an Umrah trip.

The Grand Mosque has also made sure to provide helpers around the site that speak multiple languages!

All visitors get the chance to do Umrah thanks to the mosque’s e-scooters

More than nine thousand electric vehicles are provided for all pilgrims at the Grand Mosque, and are available for everyone who might struggle to complete Umrah on foot.

The General Presidency of the Holy Mosques have really worked hard to make sure all visitors are comfortable during the month of Ramadan 👏
