The Internet Reacts To The Kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Statement On The OPEC+ Decision

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on Twitter regarding the OPEC+ decision, and got quite the reactions


The ongoing issue of increased oil prices has been a topic of discussion for a while. The OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries)  issue caused a disagreement among the different countries on price to be charged per barrel of oil. It also relates to the issue of granting production quotas per country. Saudi Arabia and U.S. President Joe Biden have been under heat for a while, regarding the changes in oil prices.

Just recently, the Kingdom’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Al-Jubeir, also denied all claims of Saudi ‘intentionally’ hiking oil prices

The statement, released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, denied all claims stating the OPEC+ issue was an entirely unanimous decision. The Kingdom confirmed that the OPEC+ Decision was based on meetings adopted by a consensus of all member states. The statement also mentioned that no decisions are made on the unilateral decision of one country.
