The Kingdom Has Officially Banned Wearing Abayas In Exam Halls

Before 2018, Abayas were a must for all ladies in the Kingdom. Today however, it has become more of an optional attire.

Officials announced that abayas are now banned in exam halls across the Kingdom

When asked if wearing a hijab is allowed in the exam halls, the Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) replied that abayas are not allowed to be worn inside exam halls. Women now must wear appropriate uniforms that follow the Kingdom’s public decency code.
