In light of increased warnings of a security attack, the Saudi Arabian embassy in Islamabad has issued a security notice for its citizens in Pakistan, asking them to “be cautious and limit their travel.”
While Saudi Arabia’s notice doesn’t give a date, other embassies have cautioned their citizens and personnel to limit travel until the 1st of January.
The increased security risk comes just days after a suicide bombing took place in the capital that left one police officer dead and six others injured.
In its notice, the Saudi Embassy has asked its citizens to contact the embassy or Consulate General in Karachi for assistance in case of an emergency. The contact numbers are listed in the tweet below:
