For the longest time, a valley with picturesque gorges, rich greenery, and even a lake at its core had remained hidden from most Jeddahwis, but not anymore as many have suddenly started sharing photos from the place on social media.

The valley, known as Wadi Wadgan, is not accessible by road. That means you’ll have to hike to get there, which is exactly what those enthralled by the social media craze are doing.

It’s almost unbelievable that the deserts to the east of Jeddah could hold something so amazing.

Remember to take your hiking gear with you as the place is not the easiest to traverse.

The valley stretches for many kilometers, so plan for a lengthy trek.
