This Saudi Artist Has Beautifully Recreated Ancient Rock Art Found In The Country

Saudi Arabia is dotted with some of the oldest rock art there is to be found on the Arabian Peninsula. There are thousands that have already been discovered, with many more lying in wait for explorers to discover them.

This fascination with ancient rock art and inscriptions is what drove Saudi artist Ali Al-Shareef to recreate them. And, he’s done a fantastic job of it.

The Al-Naslaa Rock with a laser-like cut right through its centre is pretty famous, but many don’t notice that it actually has some rock art on it as well.
