This Stray Lion Is Being Treated After Accidentally Being Hit On A Public Road

It’s not an average thing that a stray lion is casually roaming the streets of Riyadh

The creature was unfortunately hit by a car on Al-Thoumamah-Airport, Riyadh. The authorities had called the National Center for Wildlife staff and security personnel, who took the lion out of the premises.

The lion was sedated by authorities and transported to a shelter to be treated for injuries

This sparked an alert for public awareness for owning or breeding wildlife animals. Trafficking endangered animals is considered an environmental offense punishable by up to 10 years’ jail and fines of up to SR30 million.
