10 Reasons Why You Need To Visit Dubai

Avatar

Summers in Dubai usually means more than one million passengers flying in and out of its main airport. More than one million people. Let’s let that thought sink in.

This, however, should come to no surprise seeing as the metropolitan city boasts more than just a few architectural goodnesses.

Dubai has been around before the floating Palm Jumeirah, the towering Burj Khalifa or the highly Instagram-mable spots foreigners go bananas over. We don’t know a single individual who wouldn’t want to see this place at least once.

If you’re thinking of going or you’re unsure if it’s worth it, check out these ten reasons why you definitely SHOULD visit Dubai:

(P.S. You’re welcome)

1. It’s a great quick escape to revive your spirits (and a common go-to for neighboring countries)

For those of us living in Saudi, it’s a few hours of driving or even a 45-minute flight. Dubai is the quickest yet the most preferred spot to travel, despite its lack in size compared to other big cities in the region.

The reasons probably lay within its effortlessly cool summer vibe that goes on even until the wintertime. Not to mention the absurd amount of restaurants, hotel options and leisurely options to choose from.

2. The city is filled with scenic elements from the old and new Dubai

From their Deira souks to the beautiful theatres, art centres and five-star restaurants- you’re never going to run out of things to do. The best part is you get to tailor all the experiences you want to live, depending on your mood.

Feelin’ like a little safi with rice or shawarma? A traditional Emirati restaurant is just a few corners away. Want to stay at the fabulous hotel and book the actual suite where Kim Kardashian stayed? Go for it.

Anything is possible in Dubai, it seems. And we’re not complaining.

Just view it from the top of the Dubai mirror, showing you old and new Dubai.

3. The waterparks in Dubai are on some next level entertainment level (summer must-dos)

One good example of this? Just look at the Aquaventure Water Park located in the Atlantis, The Palm.

A stay at the Atlantis would probably fill up an entire day alone due to the endless list of activities and happenings that go on there.

No daredevil would say no to all this fun.

4. No joke, but Dubai is literally the best place to relax too

Have you not seen their sunsets?

5. You can actually visit the top of the Burj Khalifa and see the magnificent views from above (and it’ll barely cost you the amount you think it would)

No, for real. Dubai (and the world’s) tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa, is usually the excellent destination for fancy travelers. Imagine the selfies or the feeling of ticking the Burj Khalifa off your bucket list.

6. The city is so multicultural, you’d probably not need to travel elsewhere for a while

You’ll meet a lot of different nationalities not just visiting but living in the city, making trying out cuisines a delightful experience.

7. Dubai is probably one of the safest big cities to visit

Left your phone at a Starbucks for an hour? It’ll probably be in the same spot when you’re back, or the staff have hidden it until you return to claim it.

Thieves who?

8. There are amazing facilities that cater to anyone into fitness (not to mention, an entire community)

9. It’s the ultimate thrill-seekers dream

Skydiving, paragliding, riding a helicopter and everything an adrenaline junkie seeks is in Dubai.

10. You’ll get to tick it off your travel bucket list

Dubai is known for its extravagance and extremities in all things aesthetic and luxury. You can’t deny that Dubai is a must-visit or at least ‘check out’ to anyone’s travel bucket list.
