We in Saudi love to change our phones and at times we do it without even having a major reason to do so.
But yes changing phones isn’t such an easy decision (unless you’re an iPhone loyalist) as there are literally hundreds of phones out there with specs that you never knew you needed.
Apart from the specs and the brand, comes the price because while buying a phone there can be a huge variance in prices for the same phone among different retailers. There are many of those brick and mortar retailers that also sell online but more on that some other day – here we will only be covering the best e-commerce websites to get your next phone.
All you have to do is check out these websites before you purchase your phone and be rest assured that you’ve pocketed a pretty good deal.
Call it the early mover advantage or what but one thing that can’t be denied is that Souq.com has cemented its place as a market leader. For almost all our online shopping needs be it electronics or grocery it is Amazon-owned Souq.com that we turn to. From time to time they run major sales offers and this is the time when Souq’s prices are hard to match.

Despite launching just this year they have grown rapidly and the smartphones here are pretty cheap. Check any popular mobile phone and you’ll probably find it cheapest here. It is 50% owned by the Saudi government’s PIF and they come with deep pockets to battle out the price wars with other e-commerce sites.

They have good tie-ups with major mobile brands so they are able to sell them at steep discounts. They also have a long 14-day returns policy just in case you want to return your newly bought phone for some reason.

What’s best about Awok is that there are plenty of Chinese made phones to choose from. These phones are being sold for dirt cheap prices and are loaded with features. Better yet, they also recently launched a payment by Mada debit card option, which has been a major plus for those who do not have a credit card or don’t want to pay extra for the ‘Cash on Delivery’ facility.
While they are known for their fashion and beauty portfolios, the Chinese e-commerce site also has a decent selection of smartphones.
