After Founding Saudi Arabia’s First Female Dance Studio This Lebanese Woman Is Now Set To Scale Everest

Nelly Attar may be a Lebanese national but her contribution to Saudi Arabia is immense.

29-year-old Attar is famous in Saudi for founding its first female-only dance and fitness studio. Attar now has a bigger task on her hand – climbing Everest.

According to The National newspaper, Attar moved to Saudi five years ago where she would teach dance during her spare time. She had earlier obtained her certification in dance fitness while staying in the UK.

It was during a whirlwind of changes that were taking place in Saudi Arabia that Attar was chosen by the kingdom’s General Sports Authority to run a series of free boot camps for women.

These boot camps then gave birth to Move, the first female fitness dance studio in Saudi Arabia.

Attar has already left for Nepal to scale the world’s tallest mountain. She has even posted a video from Nepal on her Instagram page.

This isn’t her first time mountaineering she has scaled Africa’s tallest mountain, Kilimanjaro, four years ago. She hopes that this attempt of hers will inspire women in Saudi to take up the sport.

Attar has even set up a GoFundMe page that details on how she plans to use the money raised for charity.
