All You Need To Know About New Saudi (Host) Visa

Abdullah Qazi, Vice-chairman of the National Commission for Hajj and Umrah, has announced through an interview with the “Ya Hala” program, that Saudi will launch a new visa called “Host visa” within the coming few days.

The New host visa will allow the citizens and expats to host the kingdom’s guests on their sponsorship for 90 days with estimated fees of SR 500 per year.

He has added that a Host visa will be issued through the Absher system, while its mechanism and fees to be officially announced soon.

Qazi has confirmed during the interview that visitors who are coming for Umrah purpose will be able to travel across the kingdom freely and attend events, as well as visitors for tourism, will be able to perform Umrah.

What is the difference between Host visa and Tourist visa?

The tourist visa fee is SR 440, and it is issued between 5 to 30 minutes through the electronic platform or upon arrival for those who are above 18 years old. Otherwise, the visitor shall be accompanied by a guardian.

The tourist visa does not exclude any tourist for religious or beliefs reasons. The tourist can enjoy multiple visits within a year, where the period of stay should not exceed 90 days.
