Calling all the glam girls, divas and fashionistas of the Khaleej (Gulf)!
The first-ever Arab Fashion Week is currently being held in Riyadh and you’ve still got a chance to go if you haven’t already. The long-awaited four days of dazzle kicked off on Tuesday night at the Ritz- Carlton hotel, and will be open to visitors until April 14.

International designer Tomy Ward will take part in the exhibition, as well as local and regional brands from nearby countries Egypt, UAE and even Kazakhstan, reports Arab News. But hold up, it doesn’t end there… apparently even luxury brands and big names in fashion will be in attendance.
Names like Roberto Cavalli of the Italian fashion house, Jean Paul- Gaultier and even the Russian designer Yulia Yanina. Guests will be able to bask in the magnitude of designs infused with local Arab style with a sprinkle of the West.
The four-day event, under the patronage of HRH Princess Noura Bint Faisal and the support of The General Entertainment Authority, will host fashion shows, trunk shows, a pop-up store for Harvey Nichols, workshops and even a Russian ballet show. Both international and local designers will showcase their designs on site as well.
The Russian designer for Yanina Couture was the first guest of honour on the first day of the event, and even posted a photo captioned ‘Day 1! Yanina Couture is a guest of honour of the first Riyadh Fashion Week, so excited and thankful!”.
Residents from the Kingdom and the GCC arrived to the Ritz and took photos, engaged with designers and enjoyed meeting other like-minded fashion lovers in one spot.
