The Tanzanian Conjoined Twins Have Successfully Been Separated In Riyadh After A Surgery That Lasted Over 13 Hours

The Tanzanian conjoined twins were airlifted to Riyadh as per a royal order for their separation.

Saudi Arabia had earlier performed a number of such surgeries for conjoined twins from around the world many of which were fully sponsored by the Saudi government.

This time around too the Saudi government bared the full cost for the surgery.

Online portal Gdonline reported that the twins Anishia and Meleniz were successfully separated at the King Abdullah Specialist Pediatric Hospital in King Abdullah Medical City, Riyadh.

Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah led a team of thirty-three consultants, paramedics and nursing staff in the surgery that lasted for over thirteen hours. The overall surgery was carried out in nine phases.

Congrats were in order and praises began pouring in from everywhere as soon as news of the surgery broke out
