King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) is like an oversized compound with the best of all amenities, state of the art infrastructure and just like compounds has an aura of exclusivity around it. For those living or working there, they have that fancy KAEC sticker on their car through which they can enter the high-security gates at will but for others like us, we have to navigate through a set of rules they have in place for entry.

So if you are one of those who has always heard about this fabulous city but never got the opportunity to visit it then you’ve come to the right place as we tell you three ways of how to get in.

1. You Need A Friend Or Relative Who Lives In KAEC

This process is pretty simple, if you have a friend or relative who lives inside KAEC all they have to do is send an email to a place called the ‘control’ containing your vehicle registration and ID number. You can just go to the gate, the security guard will check your vehicle registration card and match it with the data in his system and voila you’re allowed in.

2. Buy An Event Ticket

KAEC hosts several big ticket events recurrently and if you buy a ticket for any such event you are automatically granted entry. You can even book a stay at one of the hotels in town to be granted entry.

3. Register On The Official Website

On the Visit KAEC website, you have to enter your personal, vehicle and visit details upon which you’ll be given a QR code. You just have to present the QR code at the gate to be allowed entry. Try booking your slot a few days before your actual visit just to be on the safer side.
