Earlier tourists were expected to pay 20 riyals for a tourist visa whether they stayed for five days or a month.
This move aims to boost the tourism sector as Oman plans on diversifying its economy and increase investment in the sector.
Tourism in Oman increased by almost 5% in 2017, according to the stats published by the Ministry of Tourism.
