There are plenty of Bollywood movie lovers in Saudi and now they have reasons to rejoice as the Kingdom got its first-ever Bollywood movie screening.

According to the Indian Express, Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar’s film Gold has hit the screens in Saudi.

Directed by Reema Kagti, the film is a fictional retelling of the Indian hockey team’s win at the 1948 London Olympics.

The film was released in India on August 15^th.

Now that it has released in Saudi an excited Akshay Kumar broke the news on Twitter.

But it isn’t the first Indian movie to release in the Kingdom as earlier southern Indian movie star Rajnikanth’s social drama Kaala was screened in Riyadh.
