Although Saudi’s team lost 2-1 against Italy in the pre-World Cup friendly last night, many football fanatics seem to be really impressed with the team’s efforts. The match took place in Switzerland’s Saint Gallen, with General Sports Authority’s Chairman, Turki Al Shaikh, in attendance too.
According to BBC, Mario Balotelli made his return to Italy’s team after a four-year-hiatus and won a solo goal against Saudi Arabia. Saudi’s first goal took place after Chelsea Davide Zappacosta gave away the ball, allowing Yahya Al Shehri to score.
Even non-Saudis showed lots of support for the Saudi team.
