Saudi Ministry Of Culture Launches A Platform For Year Of Arabic Calligraphy 2020

The Ministry of Culture launched a platform for The Year of Arabic Calligraphy 2020, which, will provide individuals, governmental agencies, and non-profit private sector the chance to present new ideas and collaborative projects that relate to Arabic calligraphy in 2020.

The Ministry will provide full or partial financial support, logistically support, or media support for the best ideas as part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to showcase important facets of Arabic culture

In addition, the ministry will organize events and activities related to Arabic calligraphy, which will be open to everyone.

The Arabic Calligraphy platform aims to promote community participation and raise awareness of Arabic Calligraphy, which reflects the richness of the Arab culture.

The Saudi Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, announced that 2020 will be the “Year of Arabic Calligraphy,” to celebrate this aesthetic art.

The Kingdom seeks to preserve, nurture, and support calligraphy as well as to increase its practice both in institutions and among the people.
