The Historic Town Of Al Awamiyah Has Been Restored And It Looks Just Wow

Located in the Qatif region, Awamiyah is one of the oldest towns of Saudi Arabia. Since the past couple of years, the government has been carrying out a major redevelopment project that has now more or less been completed.

The first photos of the transformation of this once forgotten town have surfaced on the internet and they look just fab.

It was recently innaugrated by the governor of the Eastern Province Prince Saud Bin Nayef.

The government spent over SAR 239 million revamping the city as per local media reports.

Through the redevelopment project, the city got a new cultural center, public market, gym, fitness center and several banquet halls and restaurants.

Awamiyah is surrounded by several farms and one if its most famous produce is tomatoes.
