This Saudi Stone Town Is So Beautiful That It Will Blow You Away

Avatar

Laboriously built of stone, Rijal Alma is so breathtaking that it should be on every Saudi bucket list. And, if you live in Saudi and haven’t been there yet, all we can say is that you are seriously missing out on something amazing.

It sits about 45 kilometers to the west of Abha.

Rijal Alma has a backdrop of a huge mountain range right behind it.

Making it a landscape photographer’s dream.

There is even a cable car that runs from Jabal Souda near Abha till Rijal Alma.

So those planning to visit the place won’t have to go through this snaky road that is one of the steepest in the country.

There is so much history here that it is almost like an open-air museum.

Some buildings in Rijal Alma are seven stories high and surprisingly still stand despite being centuries old.

The heritage museum at the site is not be missed out on.

With a decent amount of annual rainfall, the weather is amazing as well.

Rijal Alma is also on the tentative UNESCO World Heritage List.
