A Group Of Kenyan Cyclists Cycled From Nairobi To Makkah And Raised Thousands Of Dollars For Education Along The Way

Avatar

Millions have made their way for Hajj this year. Some by plane, some by ship, some in buses and some even on bicycles.  Yes, bicycles!

A group of four Kenyans cycled their way from Nairobi to Makkah to participate in the Hajj. That’s about 3,500 kilometres. Amazing, right? But what’s even more special about this group of cyclists is that they cycled their way to raise money for education.

They plan to raise $50,000 for the Al Furqan Institute in Kenya.

They set up social media accounts called Pedal To Hajj through which they posted regular updates to their whereabouts on their epic journey.

They trained for eight months to make the journey.

It took them 45 days to complete the epic road trip.
