The player, Abdul Rahman, who was also 2016’s Asian Player of the Year is reportedly in a contract extension with Al Ain on the condition that he spends a season on loan at Al Hilal.
The Riyadh-born player will make a return to the Kingdom, and returning to the team (Al Hilal) whom he also played for as a youth player in 2000.
UAE star Omar Abdulrahman is about to make the first move of his career but is staying in Asia, going on loan to Al-Hilal from Al Ain.
It got me wondering: Who’s Concacaf’s biggest ‘what if?’, a player who seemed like he’d succeed in Europe but never left the region.
