The Makkah municipality is working hard and fast to ensure everything is in place for Hajj and it is taking the help of tens of thousands of people to do so.
This includes over 13,000 workers dedicated to ensuring the city’s overall cleanliness (and have been supplied with the latest equipment such as compressors, pumps and vacuum cleaners).
There will also be several teams responsible for testing food samples, confiscating damaged products, liaising with government agencies such as the street vendors distribution committee, and more.
Thirty-two surveillance centers have also been set up to ensure the safety of meat provided to pilgrims.
Overall, the plan also includes monitoring municipal facilities in Makkah and its holy sites, such as roads, tunnels, bridges, lighting, washrooms and flood drainage networks, as well as overseeing contractors to ensure the provision of outstanding services during the season.
