A Man Has Been Detained After Attacking A Police Officer At The Grand Mosque In Makkah
A Saudi man who’s in his 30s had been detained by the police after attacking an officer stationed at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
Several photos of the incident has popped up on Twitter, causing a huge no-no reaction from residents of the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Gazette, the issue spurt after the man-in-question declined to comply with instructions given by a member from the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
A heated argument took place, after which the Saudi man slapped the police officer
Following the back-and-forths of arguments between the two, the Saudi man had retorted to attacking the police officer with a slap. The commission staff dialed the police for help in defusing the tension of the situation.
The situation was handled and gradually defused following the arrival of other officers on site.
The Saudi man has since gotten arrested for attacking the officer and is not being transferred to the Public Prosecution for further exertion.
