Saudi Arabia had earlier launched a dedicated portal for Qatari pilgrims through which they can register for Umrah and Hajj.

The Qatar government has since blocked that website virtually stopping all Qatari pilgrims from pilgrimage.

According to online portal Al Arabiya English, Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah responded by launching a new website for Qatari pilgrims.

The portal quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that the new portal is part of the country’s dedication “to ease the procedures of applying for Umrah, and overcome all obstacles that may face them to perform this rite,”
